Elaine Cook

I'm a real estate broker with 9 years' experience, three sons, 20 moves, same husband.

I grew up in a family of redheads. My two sisters and I look like different versions of the same person (our mother).

I was raised in Draper, Utah (when it was still a sleepy farm community) and graduated from Jordan High School in Sandy, Utah (yes, I'm a "Beetdigger"!), then attended BYU on a drama scholarship. In my sophomore year I quit school and found full-time employment with the intent of putting my husband through medical school. Which we did together!

After four years in San Francisco, three years in Utah County and one-and-a-half years in Lakewood, CA, we made Sacramento, CA our home. Our two oldest sons enjoyed Sacramento, and were a great deal of fun for me.

After eleven years in Sacramento we decided to return to Utah, and made our home in Ephraim, where my husband practiced Podiatric Medicine (specializing in the foot and ankle) and where we adopted our third son. In 1996 my husband lost the vision in his right eye and was unable to practice his chosen profession. We moved back to Utah County to be near our aging parents (my mother having died just a few months before the move).

I was able to fulfill a dream, to get my real estate license! After a few years as Mr. Mom, and while he also developed his style of teaching, Mr. Mom became Mr. Professor at Snow College. So, after a few years, BACK we came to Sanpete--to the place that feels like "HOME."

The boys are raised now, but husband and wife continue to raise each other, enjoying their lives and the turns they have taken!
